The Community Disciples of Jesus was founded on the 13 December 1987 by Fr Paul Fenech, who is still the spiritual leader. It is the offspring of his personal experience of the Lord Jesu Christ, shared by many others, who eventually went through a similar experience in their life.

The Community follows a programme of formation that leads to a gradual affiliation: from prospective to temporary, and finally to permanent membership. Since its beginnings, the Community has set up roots of communion from where it receives nourishment and where its fruits are enjoyed.
